Pakistan’s tour to New Zealand has been ended up with a nightmarish defeat of green shirts in T20s and ODI’s as well. Tour had started from Auckland and finished on the same place but former was a winning match for Pakistan whereas the last was of Kiwis. Except a inaugural match of this tour, Pakistan lost every match in the surface of New Zealand.
A HEART BREAKING DEFEAT OF PAKISTAN:
It was indeed a very heartbreaking news for all the cricket lovers that Pakistan badly lost the two series against New Zealand. Before the start of the match both teams were looking quite confident. After winning the toss Pakistan chose a good option to bat first as the previous all decisions were went in vain. The decision to bat first proved beneficial for Pakistan as the batting was really appreciate-able. Except the irresponsible playing of the openers the middle order batted brilliantly. Muhammad Hafeez remained a cherish player to Pakistan who played an outstanding innings of 76 runs with 5 four’s and 5 sixes. Another Pakistan’s batsmen who were phenomenal in the last two matches due to his extraordinary batting skills is none other than Babar Azam. Azam scored highest in the 1st ODI and in the last one as well and proved a strongest player of the team by making highest of each of the matches.
The contribution of Babar Azam, Muhammad Hafeez are the key factors which made the match quite thrilling at the end other wise the total could not be that much. Whereas the contribution of Shoib Malik and Sarfaraz Ahmed cannot be put aside as they also played their part what was required at that time. The unexpected dismissals of the skipper Azhar Ali, Ahmed Shehzad and Muhammd Rizwan was a big question mark because if they also played the score must be above 320. The bowling of Pakistan was good at late as they did not able to break up the remarkable partnership of Williamson and Guptill therefore got so many score at that level. Rest of the work has been done by the so called accurate umpiring. Muhammad Amir remained good who took 2 wickets. Whereas Muhammad Irfan and Wahab Riaz remained costly for the team.
PARTNERSHIP OF GUPTIL AND WILLIAMSON:
Despite the very early dismissal of the skipper McCullum, New Zealand continued to blow with a bat and did mot take any kind of pressure on them. The partnership of Martin Guptil and Kane Williamson have always been very dangerous for Pakistan, and today both of them played a massive innings and put up the score to 191. More than half of the score had been made by Guptil and Williamson so their dismissals did not affect a lot as they left a less burden of on the left overs. Corey Anderson came and smashed Pakistan’s bowl and played a terrific innings by hitting three colossal sixes. The bowling of New Zealand was unbelievable as they cleaned up the whole team 3 overs ago to the match. Adam Milne was amazing who took three wickets, Matt Henry and Trent Boult both picked up 2,2 wicket. Martin Guptil has been declared as man of the match due to his fabulous innings of 82 in just 81 balls. No doubt he is in his superb perfect form and ready to face any challenge.
FLUBBING OF UMPIRES:
Bad umpiring also resulted the defeat of Pakistan as one of the umpire Billy Bowden made a botched decision by giving Corey Anderson as not out, however he was clearly out. At that time, if he dismissed then Pakistan could win the match. But due to the flubbing of umpires the match was quite distracted.
New Zealand have proved the fact of its well in formed team mates who defeated Srilankan and Pakistan on their own home ground. The winning team is very happy and will continue to play in the coming T20 World Cup. But Pakistan needs an excessive assistance in the team if they want to sustain in the coming T20 World Cup 2016. Pakistan is going to play its home league PSL which is going to be happen in UAE therefore the loopholes can be corrected there.
