Starting from Pakistan who have a very poor record against England in last few years as they won just 3 out of 13 matches in last 6 years and lost 10. Now they are in a very crucial stage for the qualification in the world cup 2019 and this series is a must win for them. Pakistan no doubt as a test team is world no 1 but in ODI they are still struggling a lot. They have lost against New Zealand in New Zealand and England in UAE. As a whole Pakistan is a very balanced side but still they need some really positive and aggressive cricket to beat England at their home. They have demolished Ireland in their 2 match series and that will give them a lot of Confidence. Pakistan have a strong bowling unit with a lot of Experience but they need a lot of work from their batting unit. Pakistan have 3 all-rounder Imad Wasim, Muhammad Nawaz and Shoaib Malik in the team who all were looking in a really good touch but now we have to see how they tackle the English side. Muhammad Hafeez who was criticized a lot in past few weeks on his technique has also a lot to prove because his stats are totally opposite to his recent batting form and his performance will also matter a lot in the series.

On the other Hand, England is ready to take on Pakistan and good news for them is that David Willey who got injured few days ago is quite fit and will be back in team in few days but he will miss the first ODI. England is thinking of going with 2 spinners Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid. Ben Stokes is also back in side after injury in the second test. Mark wood will be a key factor as they didn’t use him in the Test series as he is coming back after the UAE tour due to ankle injury.

The weather is warm and dry and also we can expect the pitch to be favorable for the batsman. According to stats the Rose Bowl ground has the highest run rate of any other England Venue.
