After suffering a defeat in 1st T20 against India in Adelaide, Australia beautifully came back in the start of today’s match but sooner India over powered kangaroos and win the match. Second T20 have been played in Melbourne where an ODI was also played earlier between the same opponents and that ODI was won by Australia. Today at the same venue Australia lost the match by 27 runs. It was a bad defeat of kangaroos as they lost the T20 series by 2-0.
Superb Indian Bowling
After winning the toss in MCG, Australia decided to bowl first. Opting this strategy proved ineffective for them to win. As soon as, the first innings started, India played very impressively. The start of Indian batsmen were massive and till the very end played brilliantly. Openers of the match started the game with a great power and contributed a partnership of 100 plus. Rohit Sharma who have been stunning in his performance throughout the tour, remained marvelous in 2nd T20 and scored highest of 60 runs. Both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma made half centuries whereas Shikar Dhawan has also played an amazing innings of 42 runs.
For the loss of only three wickets India built a huge target of 185 which at that time seeming very easy for Kangaroos to achieve as the Australian batsmen are undoubtedly best in form but it did not happen like it. So called most refined batsmen of Australia were failed to achieve the target except of the skipper Aaron Fich who were absolutely magnificent and scored 78 in only 48 balls. The outstanding batting of India did not pay any heed to Australia’s bowling and they continued to hit smashingly. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli played a scintillating knock and posted beautiful 119 runs due to which India attained that total.
As soon as the second innings of the match started, Australia’s start was quite good. They were moving towards the goal very quickly and passed to above 50 in first five overs. The start was magical but they could not stay longer in front of brilliant bowlers of India especially Jaspreet Bumrah who played just two matches and took five wickets which is unbelievable for a new comer. Last 1st T20 between India and Australia was his debut match where he smashed off three top Australian batsmen and continued that spark in the second T20. Except Aaron Finch no one produced what was expected, although Shaun Marsh was in a mood to play an marvelous inning but was sooner dismissed by Ashwin. The magical spell of Jadeja and Bumrah took away the game from Australia otherwise it was very easy for them to win. Australia by the end lost the three match series and India nicely took the revenge of ODI’S defeat. Virat kohli was declared as man of the match due to his terrific not out innings of 59 runs in just 33 balls which was really phenomenal.
