The man who scored a blistering Hundred against India in all important Final of the Champions Trophy and totally destroyed Indian bowling line up is another hero of this young Pakistani Cricket team. Fakhar Zaman was born in Mardan, which is a district of KPK. He started his career as a cricketer but then joined the Pakistan Navy, but the love of Cricket again took him back to field of Cricket.Fakhar Zaman started again, his professional career from HBL and he started playing as a left handed batsman. Fakhar Zaman wasn’t picked in the first edition of Pakistan Super league, but in the second edition he was picked by Lahore Qalandars where he played some really great innings and impressed the selectors. Then after that he again played in the Pakistan ODI tournament and again scored at a very decent average and finally got his chance to play for Pakistan national team. He was selected in T20 team and played against West Indies, but couldn’t do much in the t20 matches.

He was retained in the ODI Squad for the Champions Trophy and after losing against India he got a chance in the next match against South Africa in place of Ahmed Shehzad and there he made his ODI Debut. In a do or die match against South Africa Fakhar came to bat with a positive mindset and scored 31 off just 23 deliveries with 6 fours and that not helped Pakistan maintain a good run rate but it also helped later in the match where Pakistan won the match by DLS method.In the very next game he scored his first ODI fifty and helped Pakistan to give a good start in chasing against Sri Lanka where he scored 50 of just 34 deliveries.

In his 3rd Match he again batted extremely well and sensibly and helped Pakistan beat the best side of the tournament England. That was his second fifty of the tournament where he scored 57 runs off 58 deliveries to give his team a comfortable victory. Then in the all important Final against India Fakhar hammered Indian bowlers like club bowlers and scored his first ever Hundred for his nation. He scored 114 runs off just 106 deliveries with 12 fours and 3 sixes. The century helped Pakistan not only in scoring a big total but also ultimately helped Pakistan in winning the match for them and Pakistan became Champions of the Champions Trophy for the first time in the history. In the 4 matches he played he averages 63 with an excellent strike rate of 113.Fakhar so far hasn’t played any Test match but if he continues to perform like that he surely can get a chance very soon to represent his country in white uniform.
